We organise on-demand tasting for small and large groups, for both private and business groups. We offer special locations in historical Venetian buildings or at our celebrated restaurant, Antica Besseta.
You will be accompanied by passionate Sommeliers who will guide you through the different stages of tasting and talk about the organoleptic properties of the wines and their origins.
Wines explored will include Valdobbiadene Prosecco, white wines of Collio, Amarone, great Italian red wines: Amarone, Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino
and many more.
Each dish has its ideal wine to be matched with, which must be served at the right temperature. You must consider the different types of wine: red and white, sparkling, liquor, raisin wine, lively white, structured red, rosé, soft white, flavoured, full bodied red. Each one has its own level of aging. We know the importance of offering a wine and food that pair well together on a menu.
There are numerous and different combinations of wines and food. Pairing must be established between the smell and taste of the wine and the dish. Never before has there been such a consideration for food on the world stage.
Any occasion is good to talk about food and wine, and also to consider all new types and trends of cuisines that are born daily: nouvelle cuisine, traditional cuisine, reinvented cuisine, culinary fusion, finger food, ethnic cuisine… etc.
As cooking has now become so important, we cannot deny the occassion to pair the right wine to the food served at the table.
Beyond one’s strictly personal tastes, there are some basic considerations we must take into account when choosing which wine to pair with which food.
